Capturing the character of a world-famous 10’ Fazioli Concert Grand, the original Italian Grand was released in 2020 and became a favorite of many for a piano with character and bite.
Italian Grand XL builds upon this legacy with deep improvements for even greater touch and dynamic range.
NOTE: No additional processing is used on any demos, no fancy preamps or outboard gear – it’s a direct USB recording from the built-in audio device.
Each of the 88 keys sampled in 6 velocity layers and full length, no loops!
While with the legacy one we had to cut the size to accommodate the limited sample memory of MODX, the introduction of MODX+ and Montage M with their expanded sample storage made it possible to release this XL version.
A reduced “Lite” version using 4 samples per octave is also included in the package!
Precise editing of each velocity layer to ensure even smoother transition, linear dynamic response and greater timbre gradation from the weakest to the strongest hit. We took the time to fine tune every sample, amplifier and filter for the best result.
Even more performance ready sounds – we have created over 20 patches!
Multiple layers with different pads and strings, stacks with electric and FM pianos, cinematic, worship, pop and rock styles.
Most performances have Super Knob, modulation or assignable buttons programmed for different effects – SweepEQ, ambience, blending of layers, etc.
